He trotted into the area full of excitement. Taking a deep breath, he wagged his tail before explaining to Amira what the place was. "This is Cervus's place. Cervus our Deities of Earth and Fire." He glanced at Amira to see her reaction before heading up the concrete stairs and to the south further into the woods.

Place 4
They arrived in a more open area with rocks spaced out under the tree tops. He continued talking, "Talena is in charge of the Fire element, and I'm in charge of the water element." He glanced at Talena. That was probably why they balanced each other out so perfectly. He sat down on one of the rocks and made room from Amira. "Are you ready Talena?"

Place 1
Talena didn't say much the whole trip to Rune Forest, she was too busy trying to ignore the fact that Amira decided to tag along with her and Jethro. Her mind raced as she watched Jethro keep space between her and the pup as if she was going to try and do something. She scoffed at the thought and picked up her pace to walk along side the male. He was explaining to Amira where they were and the importance of it all, which made her frown. "This is Cervus's place. Cervus our Deities of Earth and Fire." Did the pup really deserve to know about their believes? She figured so, but didn't want to admit it to herself. If the pup was learning about the guild it only meant Jethro had the intention of keeping her around. Talena shook her head slightly and trudged ahead of the rest so that she disappeared out of their sight as she climbed the stairs and continued on.

Place 4
She stalked into the new area with as much attitude as before. Her gaze scanned the area quickly for any signs of danger before she moved towards the open grassy area. It had been so long since she had been in this section of the forest, but she was happy to be back none the less. Silently the female gathered a few sticks in front of her before sitting down. "Are you ready Talena?" She glanced over to Jethro and nodded her head in response before turning to look back down at the sticks. With a soft sigh she lifted her right paw and mumbled, "Φωτιά χωρίς ροή, πυρκαγιά μέσα από μένα." A sudden rush of heat flooded to her paw and then a small flame appeared, almost as if it was floating above her paw. She smiled at the sight before looking over at Jethro for praise. It had been awhile since she had had the chance to practice magic and now that she was doing it, it was almost addictive. The flame continued to grow as she became more and more excited, though she failed to notice this.

Place 4
Jethro glanced at Amira before focusing his attention back on Talena. The Bonfire Blessing couldn't happen without Talena and her ability to control the element of fire. He knew she could do it, but if you don't practice, you can get rusty. It's just like learning a new language. If you take a long enough break, you'll have to back track to catch again. Using magic is the biggest pride and relic the Guild has. They would protect it with their life. The Elemental magic abilities will continue to be past down from generation to generation as long as they could keep the Guild alive. It wasn't just up to them to keep the Guild alive either. It was up to the Deities. The Deities had more control over the Guild than even Talena or he. They were the Deities eyes and ears. He wasn't sure if Talena believed that, but that's what he believed.

He watched Talena collect some sticks, before sitting down ready to practice. "She's got this!" His tail wagged as she cited the incantation for the fire element, "Φωτιά χωρίς ροή, πυρκαγιά μέσα από μένα." To others, these words may seem like gibberish but he knew exactly what they meant. "Fire flow free, fire flow through me" He wasn't skilled in the element of fire, but he could feel the energy gathering around Talena before a flame formed above Talena's paw. His tail wagged as she successfully conjured the flame, "Great Job, Talena!" He was happy to see that she was happy, but as Talena's excitement grew so did her flame. "Umm...Talena?"

As the flame continued to grow, so did Talena's sense of pride. She smiled proudly at the flame without realising what was going on. She could obviously see the flame growing in size, and could feel the heat of it as well, but it was almost as if her brain wasn't recognizing what was happening. "Great job, Talena!" Her gaze met with Jethro's as she smiled back. It sparked a sense of hopefulness within her for the Bonfire Blessing to see that she was able to conjure up a flame so easy. It was after all of the utmost importance to the Guild that everything went smoothly tonight. "Umm... Talena?" Talena followed his worried glance to notice that her flame had grown to an almost dangerous size. Her eyes widened suddenly at the sight before she shook her paw and extinguished the flame. "Sorry about that..." Her ears flattened slightly as she looked at Jethro sheepishly. She figured he knew the rush and excitement of what it felt like to perform magic, but it was still slightly embarrassing for her to become so absent minded that she almost lost control of her own flame. Good thing Jethro was skilled in the water element or it really could have ended badly.

Jethro couldn't help but chuckle after Talena extinguished her flame after realizing how strong it was growing. He was happy to see how easy it was for her to conjure the flame and easy it was too make it grow. It just showed how fluently the magical energy flowed through her body. The sparkle in her eyes showed it as well. "That was great! It's good that your emotion had an affect on your flame. Fire takes a lot of energy and emotion to sustain. A perfect element for you." He smiled shyly. Her high energy and emotion was refreshing for him.

He got up from his spot and pushed the sticks and twigs Talena had collected earlier into a pile. "Now, try conjuring a flame and projecting it to set the pile of wood on fire." His tail wagged as he waited for her to try. He was sure she could handle it, but it was better to be safe than sorry. This is what she would have to do at the Bonfire, but at a bigger scale.

Talena watched as Jehtro lit up with excitement. She'd hate to admit it, but seeing him be so proud in her was one of the best feelings she'd had all day. As he pulled the sticks she had gathered earlier into a pile, she moved closer so that she could sit right next to them. "That was great! It's good that your emotion had an affect on your flame. Fire takes a lot of energy and emotion to sustain. A perfect element for you." She nodded her head proudly. Ever since she was a little pup, Talena had always had a fascination with fire and its properties. At any chance she could get she would transform into a pyromaniac. A soft giggle escaped her lips as she thought about it, but she refocused herself back on her task after a moment. "Now, try conjuring a flame and projecting it to set the pile of wood on fire." With another nod she focused her gaze onto the pile of sticks as she conjured up another flame in her paw.

"Φωτιά" The energy built up once again around her as the flame sparked into existent, though instead of letting it grow out of control, she lowered her paw down near the sticks. Slowly the fire transferred from her paw onto the pile of sticks as she allowed the new flame to grow. Once Talena was sure the flame was big enough to sustain itself, she removed her paw and smiled proudly at her work. "Jet," She started off with a smirk. "Can we move onto something a bit more challenging? The Bonfire Blessing will go perfectly fine tonight!" Her eyes shone with a mixture of hope and mischief at her question. It had been so long since she last sparred with magic that she hoped Jet would be up for the challenge. Besides, he really was the only one left in the Guild who was just as powerful as her, making him the best opponent in her eyes.

He watched as Talena easily focused her attention back to her magic and quickly conjured another flame. He tilted his head as Talena transferred the flame to the sticks to set them on fire. The sticks quickly caught fire and burned until the sticks were no more. Jet smiled as she smiled, "Can we move onto something a bit more challenging? The Bonfire Blessing will go perfectly fine tonight!" . His tail wagged at the sparkle in Talena's eyes, "More challenging, huh?" "This will be exciting for sure."

Jet stood and flicked his tail as he draw in the energy from the damp soil beneath them "I can give you a challenge," he chuckled before reciting his spell. "Σφίξτε τη λαβή σας, σφραγίστε το έδαφος!" His claws glowed a light blue, as water was drawn from the soil and crossed the ground until it was covering Talena's paws. The water quickly froze, freezing Talena to the ground. It was going to be cold, but for someone who studies Fire it wouldn't be too bad. Jet jumped back afterwards and played bowed, his tail wagging. "Try using your magic without using your paws."

Place 4
As soon as the words left her maw, Talena could see that Jethro was willing to partake in her challenge. It surprised her a bit to see the male so happy and willing to let loose. She'd always thought he was sort of a stick in the mud who focused on his duties as Guild Master more than anything else. 'Hmph, maybe he's not so bad after all.' She smiled at the thought before realizing that the ground beneath her was suddenly becoming rather wet and then extremely cold. Talena's lavender gaze trailed down her front legs to notice that her paws were now frozen in place, though she only could only grin in response. "Try using your magic without using your paws." Her grin grew at his words and the new challenge they held as her mind raced for a spell that could free her from the ice shackles.

“Ζεσταίνετε το έδαφος, αισθανθείτε τη θερμότητα!” Talena recited the spell for Searing Heat from memory after a few moments. She grinned as the ground beneath her began to grow increasingly hot and the ice around her paws began to slowly melt. "Oh, it's on now old man." Her gaze met Jethro's once more with the same mischievous grin from before. It was all becoming too much fun for her now, to a point where it no longer felt like she was even trying to train for anything. Once her paws had been freed and the feeling was beginning to return to them, the female recited yet another spell. “Ο καπνός με κυλίνδρους εμποδίζει το βλέμμα τους.” Soon after a wall of smoke came tumbling into the wooden areas, blocking the view of both Jethro and Talena. It would burn the lungs and sting the eyes of those within it, but not to a serious degree unless due to long exposure. Slowly she began to move from the spot where she had been shackled and moved towards where she assumed the side of Jethro would be, letting out a soft chuckle as she glided through the smoke. "How about this, Jet?... Is this enough of a challenge for you?... Or should we just call it quits and you can admit I'm super talented in my fire abilities?" Her body moved silently as she started to circle the male, breaking up her speech so that at different questions would be heard from different positions.

Translations:
1st Spell (Searing Heat): “Heat the ground, feel the burn!”
2nd Spell (Incendiary Cloud): “Rolling smoke block their gaze.”

The grin Talena gave him made him feel like a kid again. He couldn't remember the last time they had dueled together like this. The atmosphere felt so much different than it did at Elemental Beach. Talena was much more light-hearted and fun when she was using her magic. He wanted her to be like this all the time. It may be hard, but he was determined. There was more to Talena that met the eye. “Ζεσταίνετε το έδαφος, αισθανθείτε τη θερμότητα!” "Searing Heat, huh? Nice choice!" His tail twitched in excitement as he took a step back and prepared himself for her move. 'Oh, it's on now old man.' He tilted his head at her comment. "Old Man? That's not nice," he said charmingly.

“Ο καπνός με κυλίνδρους εμποδίζει το βλέμμα τους.” "Back to back spells! You have improved, Talena." He was very proud of the Master before him. She had improved so much over the year. He turned to see a wave smoke roll into the area blocking his view. He coughed as the smoke stung his lungs some. He turned in circles as Talena spoke. It sounded like she was circling him, but he couldn't tell which direction. "*coughs* You should know me by now. *coughs* I never give up" He closed his eyes to help with the stinging before reciting a spell. "Πτώση από τον ουρανό, γεμίστε το έδαφος!"

Clouds began to form above their heads before rain began to fall. After a few seconds, the rain fell harder clearing some of the smoke in the area enough to see slightly. He eyed the clearing and spotted the silhouette of Talena. "You're going to have to try harder than that!" He tackled Talena to the ground and stood above her. The rain still dripped slightly on his head and ran down his face before dripping on Talena's. The some of the smoke was still lingering in the area between the trees. His heart raced as he looked down at Talena. He couldn't help himself. He lowered his head and gave her a small lick on her chin. Without knowing what she would do, he didn't want to take it any further.

Even though Talena was specialized in the element of fire, it did not mean she was one-hundred perfect immune to the effects it had. With the lingering smoke starting to fill the area it was hard for her to not cough every now and then as she circled Jethro. She squinted her eyes in an attempt to better see the male, but really she was just trying not to slam into a tree or trip over a rock. How embarrassing that would be. "Back to back spells! You have improved, Talena." She smiled proudly to herself at his comment, though he wouldn't be able to see it. It meant a lot to her to hear that she was improving with her magic as being the best at everything was something the girl strove to accomplish.

Talena stopped in her tracks as Jethro spoke up again. "Πτώση από τον ουρανό, γεμίστε το έδαφος!" Her head cranned up to peer at the sky as the formation of clouds began. A soft scowl covered her brow as she realize this spell would trump her own. 'Ah, Rain Storm! Smart move..' Her scowl quickly changed back to her grin as the rain began to sprinkle down. It was peaceful to feel the cooling water against her face and in response she closed her eyes and allowed herself to enjoy the moment. Within a moment however she felt the weight of Jethro land on top of her and then pin her down. She was startled by this and stared up at the male, her lavender eyes wide with shock. "You're going to have to try harder than that!" It was nice to see Jethro being so playful and letting loose, so Talena didn't totally mind that she had been caught off guard.

As she lay there the rain dripped down the male's snout and onto her own, though she didn't move to brush it off. Jethro was staring at her in a way she had never seen or perhaps had never noticed before. Slowly he moved his head towards her and she suddenly seemed to be frozen in place. She couldn't move away or say anything to get him to stop, but then again she wasn't sure if she wanted him to. And then he licked her chin! Her heart raced as her mind searched for an answer for what had just happened. Did he really just kiss her? Were they really letting their friendship turn into something more? Talena cleared her throat uneasily as she stared dumbfound back up at the male, noticing he seemed to be just as confused as her. "J-Jet," She mumbled before clearing her throat. "I'm sorry.. I can't. I have too much to focus on right now and I'm struggling as it is.." She pushed Jethro off herself as she stood up to shake off the rain that had been collecting on her pelt. It was crazy how they could go from being so happy to being so.. awkward? Her eyes met with his as she searched for any sign of response, hoping that he wouldn't be too hurt. She wanted to like him.. She wanted to give them a try.. but she just couldn't will herself to be brave enough to admit it. And so it was just easier to push the thought away.

He continued to stare down at Talena for her reaction. She seemed just as confused and unsure as he was. "Maybe I over-did it this time?" He may have over did it this time, but how would things progress if they didn't step out of their comfort zone? "I'm sorry.. I can't. I have too much to focus on right now and I'm struggling as it is.." "You don't appear to be struggling." He smirked before shaking his coat off "You know, if you ever need help with something you can talk to me about it," he said in a more serious tone. He sat down as the spells he just cast caught up with him. He panted,"I hate to admit this, but if we ever were in a longer duel, you would for sure outlast me."

Talena waited for any sign of reaction from the male. She expect to see his eyes sadden as her words reached his ears and his mood completely change or she expected him to put up a fight and further try and persuade her into seeing things his way. But neither of those things really seemed to happen. "You don't appear to be struggling," She scoffed at his comment and whipped her head to the side so that she wasn't looking at him. Really, he thought she wasn't struggling? Maybe he was blind. "You know, if you ever need help with something you can talk to me about it." His mood changed about the subject and Talena looked to him out of the corner of her eye. A soft smile invaded her lips as a grateful response to his statement, but she didn't anything to the male. Instead she watched silently as he shook out his pelt and then sat down panting. "I hate to admit this, but if we were in a longer duel, you would for sure outlast me." Talena loved to hear that she had been victorious, bringing a small smirk back to her features as she took a couple steps back over to Jethro. The duel had taken its tole on her as well, but she wouldn't show that now, even if it meant she had to half hold her breath in order to keep her breathing steady. "Well if you're up for a rematch sometime, just let me know. As you're always telling me... 'You'll only get better with practice.'" The girl did her best impression of Jethro at the last bit of her comment, puffing out her chest, raising her head high, and lowering her voice so that she would seem more like the male before her. Talena giggled at the joke as she eyed Jet with a small wink.

But the mood quickly changed as she thought about his previous comments. Was she struggling? And could everyone around her notice it? Her ears shot back at the idea of everyone knowing she had issues before she could even confront it herself. Slowly she moved to sit beside Jethro as she remained in thought, her lavender gaze glued to the ground as she did. "Jet..." She began softly, her words a mixture of sadness and unsaid defeat. "They all hate me. I'm no leader and they know it." She had to choke the words out. It felt as if her throat was swelling up and would soon close shut. "What was Fotiá thinking choosing me as a Master... I snapped at Mato. I look at you for reassurance in everything I do. I-I couldn't even greet a newcomer properly!" Her eyes slammed shut as she hung her head in defeat. Whether it was the leftover rain or her own tears, something was beginning to make her cheeks wetter than they had been before.

He stretched his back before sitting back down to catch his breath. "Well if you're up for a rematch sometime, just let me know. As you're always telling me... 'You'll only get better with practice.'" He couldn't help but laugh at her imitation of him and irony of what she said. "You're right about that, Milady." This was the Talena he...loved. The fun, cheery, goofy Talena, that was smoother than she took herself for. He tilted his head as the mood began to change again. This time Talena was the one to change the subject. His head lowered as he listened intently. Talena was opening up to him, and he wasn't going to miss anything she said. Even though its wasn't a cheery topic, it was topic that seemed to be weighing on Talena's mind.

He took a deep breathe, before putting his paw on top of hers. "Fotiá, didn't make a mistake on choosing you. She chose you because you were the only one that could handle the responsibilities of the Fire element. You have fire in your heart and soul. You were born to control the Fire element." He licked one of her tears that dripped down her cheek. "As for your outbursts, that comes with controlling such a high powered element. That's why we have balances in our elements. Your my fire and I'm your ice." He gave Talena a sympathetic look. Even though he may have been chosen first as Master, he didn't completely see himself as a Master yet. They were both thrown into the rank with little guidance from the elders. "Remember, I'm just as new to this as you are. We both need each other." He pressed his forehead against the side of her neck to reassure her.

"Fotiá, didn't make a mistake on choosing you. She chose you because you were the only one that could handle the responsibilities of the Fire element. You have fire in your heart and soul. You were born to control the Fire element." Talena kept her head down as Jethro spoke. She didn't like to question the deities and their judgement, but she couldn't stop wondering how she had come into the position of authority that she found herself in. Surely there would have been someone better in the Guild, like Tamara. She was level headed and could make good judgement calls. But then she wouldn't fit the role of the fire element would she? Talena thought about the male's words for a moment and realized that she was much more in tune with the fire element than she had originally thought. Hot headed. Low patience. Burning passions. She smiled softly at the realization. "As for your outbursts, that comes with controlling such a high powered element. That's why we have balances in our elements. Your my fire and I'm your ice." Her eyes trailed up to meet his as a tear was licked away from her cheek, causing a soft blush to appear. It was quickly dismissed however as she strengthened her features. "I didn't think it was possible, but that was the most cliche thing I have ever heard." She grinned at the male and pawed at his nose playfully. It was clear he meant well and she was grateful for his reassurance. "Remember, I'm just as new to this as you are. We both need each other." Talena's eyes closed as Jethro placed his forehead against her neck, allowing herself to enjoy the moment for a second. She leaned her head back onto his as she whispered into her ear. "Just for the record... I don't cry. Some rain just fell down my cheek, and if you mention it to another soul, you'll be kissing the earth rather than me." It was meant as a joke, but she wouldn't hesitate to put the male in his place if he tried to expose her.

Jethro chuckled when he heard Talena's comment "I didn't think it was possible, but that was the most cliche thing I have ever heard." "Maybe so, but you have to admit it fit like a glove!" He smiled, "But I did mean every word of it." He wanted her to know that he really did feel that why and wasn't just saying something cliche like. "Just for the record... I don't cry. Some rain just fell down my cheek, and if you mention it to another soul, you'll be kissing the earth rather than me." His tail wagged at her playful joke, but he wouldn't put it past her to do what she said. "You have my word, Milady" He sarcastically bowed to her threat/order. He quickly jumped back out of Talena's reach just in case she tried to get him for his actions. He scratched the back of his ear, "I wonder how the hunt is going. Maybe we should head back now?"

Talena nodded at Jethro's comment, a soft laugh escaping her maw as she shook her head. "Maybe so, but you have to admit it fit like a glove!" She really did not want to admit it, but the idea of them complimenting each other seemed right. The ice to her fire... She could definitely get used to the sound of that. A soft grin formed as she thought over the idea of it and what it could mean for the two of them in the future. "But I did mean evry word of it." Her lavender gaze drifted over to the male as he spoke, noticing that he was being serious again. Talena softly pressed her forehead against his shoulder for a quick moment as she mumbled out, "Thank you, you're truly a blessing from the deities." She pulled away as he began to joke around once again. The grin grew as he "bowed" down before her, laughing softly as she watched him playfully bound away from her side. "I wonder how the hunt is going. Maybe we should head back now?"
Her cranium tilted slightly to the left as the words reached her ears and she began to ponder the thought. By now the hunting party should have surely managed to bring down a decent meal, or so she assumed. A soft yawn escaped her maw before she responded. "I'm sure they're doing just fine. Let's get going." And with that, Talena pushed herself up off her hind legs and allowed her muscles to stretch. After a few moments she allowed her legs to draw herself off towards the Bonfire Blessing, an eager sense spreading over her at the thought of what the night held.

Not soon after he pulled away playfully and returned to Talena's side, he felt a warm pressure on his shoulder. He realized that she had pressed against him this time, and this made him smile. "Thank you, you're truly a blessing from the deities." He didn't comment on what she said and felt it would ruin the moment they were having.

Jet watched as Talena got up and stretched her legs for the upcoming trek to Amor Meadow. Watching her stretch like she was made him tingle inside, and he had to look away. Good thing he had fur to cover his cheeks, because he was sure he was blushing. "I'm sure they're doing just fine. Let's get going." He composed himself and nodded his head, "Sounds like a plan." He licked his lips and started walking beside her, "I didn't realize how hungry I was." He laughed as they made their way to Amor Meadow.
